Roger Bryant I taught at South from 1965-66 through 2000-01 and classes that I taught were: General Business, Consumer Economics, Business Law, Typing, Computer Literacy, and Physical Education. During that time, I was also the Boys' Soccer Coach from 1966-67 through 1987-88 and Athletic Director from 1973-74 through 2000-01.

Walter Carlson September, 1961 - June, 2001. That's not my tombstone, but the time I spent at teaching at SHS. 40 years went by very fast. Started teaching typing on Royal typewriters and accounting using 10-key adding machines. Wound up teaching Information Processing and Accounting on computers. I spent a lot of time at South and made many friendships. It was a pleasure being a Spartan.

Patricia "Scottie the Narc" Sloway Doing fine. Living in San Pedro. Spend time with my grandkids and do a lot of reading. Sometimes I do work "on call" at the high schools, but my days of chasing you all back to class and out of the bathrooms are long over. And yes, I knew EXACTLY what you were doing in there. I am not a computer person, so you can email me c/o my son. he will print them out. Love, Scottie

Jim Stannard I was at South from 1966 until my retirement in 1990. During those years, I taught U.S. History, Government (American and Comparative), and Economics (Macro and Micro). It was my pleasure to teach these last two subjects in the Advanced Placement program. I also supervised Work Experience for several years and served as an administrative staff assistant fom l970 to 1984. The years I spent at SHS were good years, but the students I knew there were the best part of my experience.
