After leaving school in 1986, I bounced around for about ten years before finally deciding what to do with myself. I went back to school in 1996 a got my associate's degree in applied science (Radiologic technology). I am now a x-ray technologist/supervisor for a hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona. Time has sure flown by. I can't believe we are approaching our 20 year reunion! After highschool I went to El Camino and got my Bachelor's in Business at CSUDH. Straight out of College, I worked in Accounting for a Wholesale Bakery. Then I moved to Colorado Springs and lived there for about 2 years then came back to the South Bay where I am still living. For the past 9 years, I have been working for a Commercial Aircraft Leasing Company in Century City. I work in the Finance Department and enjoy my job. Hello Spartans! What a great website! Time flies when your having fun! Things have been going great the last 20+ years. I have been married for 18 years to my husband Patrick and we have had three kids. Natalie 13, Jonathan 11, and Max 5. They are such fun kids and I am enjoying them everyday, because as we all know time just passes us by. I am currently working in the real estate field and it's all good. Upon graduating college, I worked in the entertainment industry for nearly 10 years, but then after receiving my EMT from LA County, I decided to go into firefighting which unfortunately was not for me! Hey ya'll. Unfortunately I didn't get to graduate with everybody in '86. A series of events happened that I had to go and live with my Mom in the last 2 semesters of 1986. Ugh, I had to finish out my senior year at Hawthorne High School, BOO, lol. I still consider myself an alumni of South High due to the fact that I was so damned close to graduating from there, so not fair. Anyhow, I just happened upon this site from Reunion.com and was surprised to see that it had, in fact, been 20 years! Holy Cow I just can't believe it! My wife Marlo (SHS '87) live in South Torrance and have three kids. Evan (11), Jared (7) and Elyssa (5). I work for an auto dealership group as a Controller and have been with them for 14 years. I graduated from the University of San Francisco which was a great experience both for education and culture.

20 years! Ugh, I cannot believe it. I was married for about 10 years, but now I am a single mom and have been for over 8 years. I have a 9 1/2 yr old daughter and she is the most amazing little girl ever. I am a proud mom and dedicate my life to raising her the best I can in this ugly world. I live in Lomita and work for a specialty pharmacy processing 100's of prescriptions a day. My ex-husband is very much a part of my daughters life, and he actually married a SHS graduate (1987). After high school I went to college and I graduated from Cal Sate Dominguez Hills with a degree in Art History. In 1992, I married Louis, a local guy that went to Bishop Montgomery. We have had so much fun together traveling all over the world and we are the best of friends.
I had a great position at The J Paul Getty Center, but quit working to be with my daughters (Kaylee 3 and Mia 1). I love being a fulltime mom. I still live in the South Bay!

After high school I went to college for seven years and didn't graduate with a degree in English. Then right before I turned 30 I started doing stand-up comedy. A year and a half later I moved to Austin, Texas for almost four years and had a really good time doing comedy and drinking a lot. While I lived there I got to do a couple of comedy festivals and stand-up spots on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Premium Blend, and the poorly conceived Last Comic Standing. Then I moved back to L.A., quit drinking, and moved back in with my parents, where I still live. I just did stand-up on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson a month ago, but can't quit my day job as a copywriter yet. Not to brag, but I have a really cute dog. Hope everyone is doing well. Hey former classmates,
I went to college for a long time after high school, switching majors from English to Biology, ending up at UC Santa Cruz (they did turn me into a bit of a hippie temporarily, but I never could seem to let up on the daily showering thing), and then quitting that program when I was close to finishing. I moved back to L.A. a couple of years later and have lived here ever since (near the Hollywood Bowl), and actually went back to finish my B.A. just for the hell of it at Antioch University, graduated this past June (2005). I am a writer now, and also 60% crazy cat lady (have 3). My first book (nonfiction) is scheduled for release on Valentine's Day, 2006. No husband or wife, no kids, but can't wait to see pictures of all of yours at the 20 year reunion.

After graduating from the University of California, Irvine with a BA in Economics and a BS in Biology, I left sunny California to get my Masters in Sports Management at THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY. GO BUCKS!!! Nothing compares with OSU football - While there I taught adapted skiing... this proved to be the foundation that I have built my career on. After graduating I lived in SD for a bit before moving to Hawaii. I've been a personal trainer specializing with seniors and people with disabilities or injuries (post rehab) for over 10 years and love it - it's so very rewarding! I also competitively paddle Outrigger Canoe and have traveled around the world for some of my races. What an honor it is to paddle against some of the best athletes in the world. Hi everyone! I graduated from CSULB in 1993 with a BS in Business Management, and a BA in Home Economics-Food Industry. I have worked for Costco Wholesale as a manager for the past 13 years, although I was injured on the job last year, but have not been able to work. I moved to San Diego 11 years ago. Hi everyone! After grduation Kristie (Hardy) Lanktree and I went off to BYU in Utah. That was a semi-disaster, so I returned here and eventually finished college at CSULB with my Civil Engineering degree. I work in Westchester at a private company. I have been married for 12 years and have two kids - Amy-11 and Jake-9. We live in the South High neighborhood, so the kids will be 3rd generation Spartans.

Hi Spartans! I look forward to seeing you all in August. After our 10 year reunion, I spent a few years teaching English and Creative Writing as an adjunct instructor at CSU, Long Beach and San Diego and at various other universities along the 405. I decided to go back to school in 2001 and ended up at Ohio University in rural southeastern Ohio. I have just completed my PhD in American Literature and hope to land a "real" job when I go out on the national market in the fall. My husband, David, is a freelance editor and author, and our little boy, Jack, just turned three. Does anyone know where Stacey Elliot is? She attended South High briefly our freshman year, moved to Texas, then back to CA, but I haven't heard from her since 1993. Please let me know if you know her -- thanks.

Since our 10 year, where I had been married barely a year and had just given birth to my oldest son, I have managed to stay married and added 3 more beautiful kids to our family. Brendan is now 9 and an avid ice hockey player, when he isn't pretending to be a sufer and skater dude, Delaney is 7-1/2 and loves anything to do with the arts, and should have earned an oscar already for all the drama we see every day, Michaela (KK for short) is just 5 and started Kindergarten this month. She is always dancing and singing! And the Baby is Sullivan, who is 3-1/2 and although he is the smallest thing in our home, there is nothing little about him @ 45" & 52lbs. We think Football may be his sport of choice. I still work for my dad, when I am actually being paid for my hours, I live 3 blocks from South and volunteer daily at Riviera Elementary. I just started working for the School since I am there anyway I might as well get paid. Am looking forward to seeing all of you at the Reunion next Summer. Feel free to email me anytime.

Hi all! Judging from everyone elses notes I'll just share a bit. ;o) I was married in '89 and have two great boys. They are teens now so they are in that "not so great" mode. Hmmm, been there done that...remember when. Went to my little bro's graduation in 02 SHS and it seems the school still looks the same. I make custom jewelry and am a stay at home mom (had to retire from work). In the summers I work part time or volunteer at Woodward West (all you extreme sports nuts should know what that is) and have had the opportunity to ride the ramps and work the X-Games. I love it! I have SLE so am not able to get that crazy often. :o)

Just wanted to update my info. Jon and I are still on the Big Island of Hawaii after 9 years of marriage with are two crazy little girls. Juliette is 6.5 and Genevieve is 3.5. Well, I'm supposed to be in a tech. workshop but am bored and decided to go surfing. I'm married, with three children, ages 8, 6 and 18 months. After graduation, I headed back to Michigan, attended MSU, and teach high school Astronomy and Weather. While on my honeymoon in Michigan we stayed at a bed and breakfast. Hello Everyone! I have moved on from teaching (5 years) and coaching (17 years) at South and now I'm full time at Cal State University Dominguez Hills as the Mens and Womens Soccer Coach. Hi everybody! It took me 14 years but I finally got my BA in History and Education from Roosevelt University in Chicago. My husband convinced me to give up the good weather and move to the midwest in 1993. We've been married for 14 years and we have 3 kids. Robert is 14 and just started high school. He's my jock. Bill is 12 and will be in high school next year. He's my tech and music guy. Kelly is 7 and the cheerleading-baseball-playing princess of the house. I teach World History and Geography to students with learning disbilities at Round Lake High School near the Wisconsin border but I hoof it every day from the Chicago suburbs. For those of you who want a good laugh, I coach 7 and 8 year-olds cheerleading. Drop me a line some time.

How time flies! It seems like yesterday I was sitting in the mall with the gang having lunch (when Steve and I weren't ditching anyway)! I enlisted in the Navy 19 years ago and recently transfered to Las Vegas as the Command Senior Chief at the Reserve Center on Nellis Air Force Base, (I didn't know Vegas had a Navy either.) It's great to see what everyone's been up to over the past 20 years or so. I graduated from UCLA in '91 and started working in El Segundo. A few years later I married another SHS grad, Lorri Morrison ('85). She had two boys when we were married and we've had three girls since then in '95, '96, and '98. We moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2003 after a couple of years in Arizona. I work for the University of New Mexico and Lorri sells real estate. We spend a lot of time doing "family activities" such as sports, church, and traveling. We went to Lorri's 20 year reunion last summer and it was a really good time. Looking forward to seeing everyone at ours.
