Nancy,
Molly was evidently working as a teacher/ professor at a Jr. College in San Diego, I was trying to locate her some months ago and found that she passed suddenly; although, I do not know the exact particulars. I know that for the years that I went with her she had a couple of best friends one I think namdes Shelly, and the other I don't recall. So you had to have gone to elementary and intermediate school with her. I did the proms and dances with her , saw the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkle,The Graduate,2001 and more with her she was a beautiful person and I will miss her as will others. Do you know what happened to her sister Meg. I was really surprised to find out that when I would finally find her that she would be gone by about six months.

Been awhile. Glad to hear your in South OC. I'm in San Juan. I don't surf much anymore...competitive sailing mostly. Will be doing the Centennial Transpacific Race on July 17th on "Merlin" (you can follow the race at transpacificyc.org), a few days of partying in Honolulu then on to Kauai for a week at Poipu Beach.
Will say hi to Phil for you. We'll be doing some golf, cocktails etc. I peek at this sight occasionally...it was good to see you here. Stay in touch.

Hey there are too many Bill's on this site! Bill class of 68 what is your last name? This would help my foggy memory!
Does anybody get together down there? I fly down to Los Angeles at least once a month now.
Working with an Indie Singer/Songwriter (financing her project (CD) and working with promoting her. Mostly go to the Hollywood area.
My parents have both passed away and the family home was sold after my father's death. My father owned Nickle's Drugs for many years. Perhaps some of you remember him.
Still go down to Hollywood Riviera area and go to check out the waves. The ocean is still beautiful, with lots of memories.
I go to San Diego alot also for business with the restaurant that my youngest son and I own.
Is there anybody in San Diego?
This is great to have a website like this. Does anyone belong to classmates.com?
Bye for now-

Bill...thanks for posting. You aren't the only person that has had this experience. I've experienced it myself, in a similar way, and KNOW that its true. Its comforting and gives a sence of continuity, and love, that makes the rest of your life happier, and more peaceful. Just KNOWING they are there waiting, is a wonderful gift. To share that gift by letting others know that it exists.........priceless ;) Aloha.....

Chris my friend.........
Your most welcome, and I truly understand, feel, and share your loss.
I miss tossing ideas around with my dad, I miss his laugh and sense of humor. I miss his down hearted advice and honesty of opinion. I miss playing penny ante poker with him. He passed on January 7th, 1992.
One thing for you and everyone else that is a consolation, and it is that your immediate family will be right there, I mean right there to greet you at your own passing. I was in an ICU ward in 95 and my heart stopped makeing it necessary for me to be defibulated several times and as I was with my back to the ceiling of the ICU ward stareing down at hospital staff defibulating my body.........I looked to my right and there was my dad smiling at me,,,wearing his light yellow golf shirt, healthy, tan, and strong ,,,,and behind him were the silloettes of numerous men, women, and children all holding hands and coming towards me through and from a white lignt running a panorama from left to right.....at that time in my life I was ready to step off this world and reached out to my dad to go with him......
He smiled at me , shook his head No, and looked back down at my body on the hospital bed, while saying with his mind " Not now, you have things to do."
Next thing I knew, I was staring at the doctor , who was defibulating me and he said " whoa your back, welcome back !! "
Bottom line Chris, you'll see your dad again, hang in there and stay with me on this side of the light for a long time, since there's no hurry, I rather like your person and your friendship Brah.....

Ronald M. Fink, Graduate of Class 1967. He passed away Sept 5th 2003, at the age of 53, He was a good dad and will be missed by myself(29), my sister(27) and my mom.
We were all from Torrance, and Moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1985. My dad travelled back and forth between Torrance and Las Vegas, Nevada until 1989 when he decided to stay here permanently.
The Highlights of his life, were my sister and I graduating High School(1994 Me and 1995 her), My Graduating College in 2000, and My Sister presenting my parents with 2 grandchildren (grandson in 2000 and granddaughter in 2002).
Sorry to post a message of this type on the board, but i thought some of you would like to know what happened to my dad since Graduation from your High School in 1967.

"Life's like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to get"! I was drilling down in the internet on Makaha Skateboards and somehow found this site...incredible! I recognized many of the names so here's an update. I got divorced 10 years ago after 13 years of marriage and have a beautiful daughter named Natalie. I've been living in South O.C. for the last 15 years and still surf everyday at San Onofre or Trestles when there's waves. I also still skateboard (currently making a movie about the founder (Larry Stevenson) of Makaha Skateboards' life. Some guys from Disney are producing and directing it and the executive producer is the same guy that produced Pulp Fiction. Chris Johnson....sorry to hear about your Dad's death....he was a really bitchin guy (so was your mom, please say hi to her and extend my condolences). Also, sorry to hear about Lee Ellsworth..we played on the Major Seals together at Kissel Field. Bill Mckaig...sounds like things are going well....say hi to Chris Parker and Bobby Knopp for me.I guess Chris is living on Maui. I see ALL the Irons' brothers (Jim, Phil, Matt, Mark, John, Rick) when I go to Kaui (Phil's kid's Andy and Bruce are current world surfing champs.) I see Tim Wirick all the time...he surfs Salt Creek and still rips. I talked to Mark Hebson last week...he's doing really great....we all get together (a bunch of old T.B. guys) at San Onofre every year in the late summer (really fun time!)Keach (Bernie)...you dog...I haven't seen you at San'O for awhile!Lou Chappalear...don't know where Randy or Julie Ruby are at (Randy used to live in Redondo Beach)..I see Larry Nutrika (Winters) all the time at San'O..still surfing great and in good shape...I lived in Santa Barbara for 2001/2002 and surfed epic Rincon with Bruce Woods a bunch of times (also surfed there a lot with Jana Irons (Jim's daughter)and she rips like her Dad. The best to everyone. Aloha,GC.

I think I must have meet her once or twice years ago, but then Hughes..to GM..to Raytheon/Boeing stopped having the year end parites where we could meet each other families so if I have met her it was years ago.Actually ran into Bob at a meeting last week but didn't say anything as one never knows where everyone stands with their family memebers. Far extreme...he could think you are a no good son of a b#3 and shoudl be shot..so since I have no idea how you 2 get along I just let it go.

At the end of our senior year I moved into an apartment in Hermosa ( I was 18 and feed up with home life for thsoe who understand) and ywat this was a 4 bedroom place and one of the existing tenets was Alan Hague and his wife (Linda??) Didn't even know he had gotten married. He had quite school and was wofking in some factory in Gardena. No kids, so I guess he just wanted to move into married life. After about 4 months,( he had been there 6 before I joined) he got feed up with living with so many people. He and his wife got a small place in Lawndale and that was the last I ever saw of him. Strang how a person(me..you decide for yourself) can live with someone, promise to keep in touch and then how the changes in each other's lifes makes us forget all about people..and liek it or not, elementary and high schol friends had the most influence on us and help make us what we are.

Bill, you are right about Mr. Curtis and Mrs. Hague being Shop and Home Economics. She was Alan Hagues' mother. Haven't thought about him in many years. Anyone know what happened to him after high school? Bill, I still have your baseball rack, want it back?--------not. Remember making surfboards and sharks out of clear plastic? Also the color to stain them seemed to stay on you for about a year if you got it on you. Gordon, you must have been quite a tacklebox maker if you still have that box. I think mine only lasted about 20 years, mostly for storing tools and stuff.

A retirement party is being held in her honor on June 9, 2005 in the cafeteria at the school. It would be nice, for those who may be able, to attend.

Have been away from this site for awhile had to have surgery. Still searching for Barbara Maggio (class of 69 also).
We use to surf at Torrance Beach and Ave A.
I live in Sacramento now, retired from State Service a couple of years ago. Now own a restaurant (with my youngest son Jamin) in San Diego near Pacific Beach (called Kafe' Yen website kafe-yen.com). Figures I own a restaurant near the beach and I live in Sacramento!
New venture, I have just got into the music industry I am financing an Indie singer/songwriter's third CD her name is Jamie Green (website: jamiegreenmusic.com).
Also venturing into helping finance a new movie that is being shot in Sacramento (they are still looking for financing). They hope to start shoting in the next couple of months.
Is there anyone here from class of 68, 69, and does anyone still live in the Torrance/Redondo Beach area? Still miss the place especially the ocean.
Would love to hear what others are doing in there lives....

Bill68, what station for LASO does your son work out of?
Thankless does not begin to describe it sometimes. But it is fun.

Marge, I have the 68, 66 and 65 annuals. Actually I only have 2, the 68 is Paul Yockey's which I have borrwed and not returned yet.T-Bird...you and Al Marzelli (sp?) drove them. Some memory, which I won't swear by, makes me think his was white with a red roof. He worked at Von;s for years..must have been around class of '65. Don't know Pootie, never lived in the high dessert. One year at Santa Cruz in 68 and all the rest right here in the South Bay. Found you in 66 as a junior will have to llok more for your sister.

I will thank Byon. But it was nice to see it there since I did not have my book anymore. I drove a 1958 Black T-Bird. Had skinny legs and got picked on for them. Like BIRDLEGS and CHICKEN sticks but hey they sure helped me running after the bad boys. LOL.. Yes, being on the department was a thankless job but I tell you though nothing compares to what your son goes through especially in L.A. The shootings are awful out here. But then when I talk with others in other states it is bad there as well. My Sis used to ditch a lot of classes. She had to finish after graduation. She never had her picture taking for 1968. But she is in the 67 book I think under Jeri Lange < me, but it is Judy, and then under Judith, short blond hair. I hung with Pootie a lot.Did you ever live in the high desert?

Deric, Do you surf or ride a short board :) I still get out at burnout, rat, the cove, but Hag is full of too much hostility nowadays to make it worth it.But I can talk #$5 wwith the best of them so say hi if we ever meet.. The own concept of surfing has changed, the youngster don't even understand the peak rule.

Marge starting over, hit send too soon. Sorry about your sister, will have to see in an old annual if I knew her. Ice cream shop over in the Von's center? Interesting you mentioned that. Most of my friends don't even remember there was one there.
Glad you retired, my son is LA County Sheriff and it is a thankless job..in my eyes...cops are always wrong. Even though I didn't like them when I was young, I realize now what a tough position they are alwys put in...I wouldn't want to be one.

Chris, wasup, hows things on Maui, here's one just had a couple come in from 5 days on Maui to stay at my vacation home and she freaked out , broke down hysterically shrieking and crying and drove her husband to the point of calling and cancelling their booking, because she couldn't be anywhere where there was a Gecko .
Was there a Gecko eradication on Maui or something?
Nancy Nickle, aloha. Are you still
" cute" like Bill says, what are you doing these days?
RJ don't take any wooden nickles either, no offence Nancy, and don't look up at exactly 5:00 PM tomorrow ,because you didn't send that nonsense to 12,000,000 people yourself.

I want to thank all of you. To all my friends and family, thank you for making me safe, secure, blessed, and wealthy by sending me your URGENT WARNING E-mails over the last year.
Because of your concern:
I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains.
I no longer drink Pepsi or Dr Pepper since the people who make these products are atheists who refuse to put "Under God" on their cans
I no longer drink anything out of a can because I will get sick from the rat feces and urine.
I no longer use Saran wrap in the microwave because it causes cancer.
I no longer go to movies because I could sit on a needle infected with AIDS I no longer check the coin return on pay phones because I could get pricked with a needle infected with AIDS.
I no longer use cancer causing deodorants even though I smell like a wet dog on a hot day.
I no longer go to shopping malls because someone will drug me with a perfume sample and try to rob me.
I no longer receive packages from UPS or FedEx since they are actually Al Qaida in disguise.
I no longer shop at Target since they are French and don't support our American troops.
I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a stupid number for which I will get the phone bill from hell with calls to Uganda, Singapore, and Uzbekistan.
I no longer eat pre-packaged foods because the estrogen they contain will turn me gay.
I no longer eat KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes or feathers.
I no longer look at the opposite sex because they will take my kidneys and leave me taking a nap in a bathtub full of ice.
I no longer have a cell phone because I don't want brain cancer.
I no longer have any sneakers because I would hate to see all those poor kids in the sweat shops overseas suffering because I wanted a pair of Nike shoes.
I no longer buy expensive cookies from Neiman Marcus since I now have their recipe.
I no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out for me.
I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl about to die in the hospital for the 1,000,000,000th time.
I no longer have any money but that will change once I receive the $18,624 that Microsoft and AOL are sending me since I participated in their special e-mail program.
I want to thank all of you soooooooo much for looking out for me.
Now if you DON'T send this e-mail to at least 12,000,000 of your closest friends in the next 60 seconds a large bird with diarrhea will crap on your head at exactly 5:00 p.m. tomorrow.

Zin dog try Larry M. Anyways just a little update for y'all. After several failed attempts at trying to land a reality tv gig I finally got my big break on a show called "platanos y manzanas" on canal 54 (the el mundo station). It is a survivor style show where ,myself and another "cali" boy (or girl) pair up with a few cuban refuges and race some new yorkers and canadians. Action packed from start to finish beginning with a swim up the florida eveglades and ending up with a barrel ride down niagra falls. Oh! and somebody dies. (the fcc allowed to show it becasue the person wasn't a citizen). Be sure to check it out this fall. GASM

Yes the rented it to a French Montessori which moved. Then made it a gated community. All parking was taking away behind the gates. Curb in front is red. Had to but in small lot for community. Holds about 20 cars, but the hours are who knows to who knows. The big houses look right onto the lot and they don’t want the load noise. Progress

Bill M, I was really young when I used to skateboard a lot. We sure had the awesome view of the city from the PV hillside. One of the best spots ever to watch fireworks is on top of the cliff above the Walteria gravelpit just off Hawthorne Blvd. I remember as a kid that part of the hill was on fire every damn year a few days before the 4 of July. There were practically no firework regulations when I was a kid and every summer the hill would be on fire in a few places. I can't believe how many laws there are now days. I spent 4 years up in Silicon Valley my first few years of high school and at that time we'ld go up hwy 9 into Saratoga in the Santa Cruz hills for our city light view. The nice thing about South High was our city light view was right there.

Jerrie, sylvester what a piece of work. in 8th grade he picked me up and thru me against a wall in the class room. for no reason, really no reason. my dad did not take to that. i left after getting up off the floor. went home, told my dad what happend. we went back to the school. we met with strom and sylvester. sylvester just lied about what happened. but 30 other people saw it. my dad asked him to try to throw him against the wall. i transferred to mr. smiths class. funny, we filed a complaint against him with the board. he had a number of complaints, i mean a lot. the school board in its wisdom solved the problem, they promoted him to a principle. sylvester's wife was also a teacher at meadowpark. i had her in 6th grade. she was a good teacher. talk with you later.
