30 years gives you the perspective that high school really prepares you for virtualy nothing. It is mearly a spring board into adulthood. With time, the brutality of those four years heals. Take from one who graduated at the bottom of the class and now owns two companines. Follow your own interests, that's where you future lies. Trust me, in 30 years no one will care what you did in High School. You have no idea how exciting the future will be. I survived a tour with the Navy in Viet Nam as a gunnersmate aboard a PBR. Lived in Mexico briefly, building an orphanage, became a pipefitter, a plumbing contractor and finally after many nights in school, a mechanical engineer. Have lived and worked in the British Virgin Islands building desalination plants, worked for the federal gov. building ground water treatment facilities and currently contracted for HAZMAT response, worldwide. Married for nearly 20 yrs with a son about to graduate(near the top of his class) from High School this next spring. We live in Aptos, CA on the Monterey Bay. Life just gets better...

Greetings from post-WTO Seattle. South seems like another lifetime ago . . . I left So. Cal. in 1987. Too bad my annuals are all in storage so I could put names to faces. Fred Goss, are you really 40??! Sally Hillman and Chris Lundgren live up here, at least they did a couple years ago. Last I heard of Anne Moses she was making wine in St. Helena. So many folks I'd love to find . . . I'll keep watching here.
Anyone ever have Steve Trampe as an english teacher? He's a friend of mine here - taught at South until around 1974, I think. Small world. There are only 3 degrees of separation, I'm sure of it.

Things that make you go hmm: in case anyone remembers Nick Mikulicich, who was at South for 2 years before skipping off to CSUDH several years early, my brother just found a webpage of his. Apparently he's running for our Congressional seat as a Republican in next March's primary. (35th dist, includes SHS.)
